Please join us for Positively Romantic, a selection of uplifting masterpieces featuring Dvorak's Symphony No. 8, to be played by the Symphony under the direction of guest conductor David Anderson on Saturday, Feb. 6 at Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay, WI. The concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will consist of three other works from Bizet, Puccini and Glinka. You can purchase tickets at the door or buy them from our on-line store and pick them up at the door.

In celebration of Valentines Day, we're conducting a drawing for romantic gifts, including flowers, gifts and an overnight stay at Bella Vista Suites here in Lake Geneva. Sign up when you come to the concert. It's Positively Romantic!



First Concert Augurs Great Season
Sascha Mandl Takes Bow

The LGSO kicked off its 2009-10 season with a real bang. Dr. Alexander Mandl led a rousing performance of Beethoven's thrilling 5th symphony and an equally enthusiastic performance of Mozart's popular Symphony No. 29, celebrating the music of two of the classical era's giants.

2009-10 Concert Season

Mark your calendars for an exciting 2009-10 concert season, featuring three notable guest conductors:



  • October 24, 2009 7:30 p.m., Delavan-Darien High School: Alexander Mandl conducts two Classical masterpieces, Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 and Mozart's Symphony No. 29, plus Weber's Overture to Der Freischutz and Sibelius' Finlandia.

  • February 6, 2010 7:30 p.m.: David Anderson conducts the orchestra in a performance under themed "Positively Romantic", music from the Romantic period, featuring Dvorak's Symphony No. 8.

  • March 20, 2010 7:00 p.m.: Andrew Dogan leads our annual Pops Gala in "An American Songbook," featuring a delightful variety of lighter works by American composers. After the concert, please join us for a gourmet dessert reception with ensemble performances and our LGSO Silent Auctions. Gala Tickets are $25 for one, 5 for $100.

  • May 22, 2010 7:30PM: Join us for our 2009-2010 season finale!
