The music the LGSO plays is truly remarkable, and it is possible to attend a performance without having heard any of the repertoire and be moved in ways one cannot even imagine. However, it is also likely that someone attending a symphony orchestra performance will generally enjoy a piece more if they have heard it before and have some knowledge.
