There are hundreds of recordings out there. Listen to as many as you can! Here are a few (conductor listed): Kleiber, Bernstein, Mäkelä, Alsop.

Here is a video that’s worth watching. Technically, it is a “student” recording, but the orchestra is Rice University. The conductor’s teacher Larry Rachleff (of blessed memory) and Donald Schleicher (from the 2022 workshop) were best friends and shared the same conducting philosophy. With the exception of movement 4, many tempos that we take will be similar to this one. (our mvt 4 will be slower)
